Empire was an SSA exhibition curated by Gayle Nelson and Alan Bond at Wall Projects, Montrose, July 25 - August 29, 2015. My own contribution was 'Wilson Laing Studio'. Wilson Laing was a photographer in Blairgowrie who took pictures of the townspeople throughout much of the 20th century but whose studio is now derelict. “The emperor’s palace lies in ruins and all his subjects too.” The composite images use photos by Wilson Laing and Carmel Ward (1-4).
